Word Press is more involved than Blogger, but I like the fact that if I got a wild hair & just started ranting & raving that Word Press won't 'take' my blog. (I'll REALLY have to make sure the wild hairs stay plucked now!) Did you know Blogger OWNS your blog. Even if you're paying for a name you're only renting it & they STILL own your works. Nope, don't like it...(but I'm suckin' it up like a good peon) I mean seriously, odds are it won't happen because my big political stance is save the planet & all that it accompanies (but I don't involve children or approve of scare tactics.) BUT...still I hate to have someone reading over my shoulder. (Shoot now they've got me sitting up straight so it doesn't hinder their view over my head & both shoulders...boy do I feel the heat! ;)
...tucking my head down & trying to not draw notice....for a few minutes until I get this post deleted! ;) Nah...but seriously...why does it stop & not allow me to post for a few days at a time? It's really getting old. (Oh and the other thing that was nice about WP was they have people to help fix things. You don't ask a forum & hope someone takes pitty.
ALSO!!!! This is good news! I've someone to look over the cards so the English is done but I'm waiting on Spanish. I've made a set up in Croatian ( it's a thank you to Lepitar who has a site I've ALWAYS enjoyed & I hate not being able to use a great 'something' 'cause the kids can't read it.) and I'm also going to beg her to edit the French cards too. (I know...bad Honey...putting someone on the spot!) ;) If any Hebrew, Italian, or Arabic mamas/daddys are interested let me know & it'd be nice to have the cards edited for translation too.
And, in case you're wondering no I don't speak all those languages. I can understand & read Spanish (sorda!), I can speak Taco Bell, I can sing some songs in French and find the library, bathroom & where someone hung my coat up at. As to Hebrew & Arabic...I love the arabic alphabet it's beautiful & Hebrew is something I've always wanted to learn but well...I'm fluent in English & Taco Bell & birthing woman apparently those are the only languages my brain can handle. Oh and Italian because well....next to Mexican food....there's pasta. Glorious pasta!
And, we're back on point! The cards will be available soon. I've also been 'contacted' by the file storage people where everyone downloads from & apparently you guys are burning up the bandwidth! It's a nice compliment to see the cards are being used EVEN THOUGH NO ONE EVER COMMENTS!!!
Yeah...you...say hi once in a while ok?! :) And, don't forget...I'm NOT making the move over to WordPress.
Sirs & Madams...I'd like to offer this tomato & these bags of grain as my sincere apology in complaining about the lack of service, ability to post and I am ever so grateful that I do have a free blog that enables me to whine, whimper & occasionally rage & say thanks. Enjoy the grain and the 'Mater is tasty on a sandwich!
Honey
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI can help with Croatian as well as Serbian, since they are almost the same language - the main difference is the alphabet - in Croatian it is the same alphabet we use, but in Serbian it is Cyrillic, very similar to Russian alphabet - so it might be interesting to you and to some of your followers. Maybe I can "translate" those Croatian 3-part cards to Serbian?
Let me know...
Sandra
Sandra, Your profile isn't active. Email me if you're still interested in translating the cards.
