Bustle and Sew...definitly edible.

Bustle and Sew is about the cutest thing out of Devon, UK.  Ellie, the creater of all that I slobber over is simply amazing.  (And you should see how close to the beach she is..color me green!)  Her style, the fact it's all handmade, knitted, and sewn especially with lots of patch work and floral with elegant charm is exactly like my mama's was, gives me a bit of feely good love when ever I look at her stuff.

She's a recently new find for me.  I've been following her since around December-January.  Her freebies, her giveaways, her shop all are not good for those of us on a financial diet 'cause you can't stop at just the menu or you decide to spend all your points right here...but wait...what about that one?!  And before you know it you're borrowing well into next month.

Sequencing idea coming up!
Her most recent post, which is also a giveaway, is about these dandelion buttons.  They're of a life cycle... 'bout to open, yellow 'lion mane, seeds on the stem, almost bare and finally scattered on the wind....AND SHE'S OFFERING THE PATTERN FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Also, if you enter by May 15th...you could be the winner of the set!  I'm sending Good Doggy Vibes to increase my winning chances... (read her picking process and you'll understand!)  How adorable are they?!

And, the retro dandelion pouch?!  Wouldn't this make a great container for 3part cards?!  Or perhaps some kind of wildflower identification cards?   Or even some spring game?
The Retro Dandelion Pouch.  Imagine this on an apron!

Now in addition to all these lovely embroidery ideas, bags to buy, and just simple eye candy I thought of a great idea for the buttons to be used in the Montessori classroom!

1.  After winning the buttons or simply making your own button sets grab yourself 5 green pipe cleaner stems.
2.  The bottom half of the stems should be twisted about and the top fanned out.  Think tree trunk and then branches.
3.  Stick in a vase along with a bit of extra pipe cleaner wrapped around it if it's not sturdy enough to be a bit still in your vase.
4.  The kiddos put the buttons in sequential order by sliding the button shank onto the pipe cleaners.

While I wish I could get these made up quick to show you...I'm a slow embroiderer...and it'd be summer time before you'd see it and then you wouldn't have a chance to win them.  And that would simply be a crime to not share something so awesome!  So it'll show up later...unless I win them! ;)  Good luck I hope I win you win!.  Oh, who am I kidding?!  I hope I win!!! :)

Also, if you join her mailing list she sends these monthly embroidery bunnies that remind me of stuff my grandma had on her table runners, little hand towels and handkerchiefs.

;) I do love reading comments. Plus, you never know if I'll send you a special something just because you left a comment. Yes, I know, but adult bribery is acceptable.
