Mama's back to school.

Mommies & Poppies, I've gone back to school. I'm going to finish up my Baccalaureate in Science for Elementary Education & Special Education.  A dual degree....and I'm so excited about it too!  It's online so I can still be with the kids but I'll of course have to take a practicum 'in real life'.

So, I am asking all the momma's & poppa's out there...what are your hints & tips?  I'd especially like to speak to someone who is a homeschooler too...like someone non-homeschool reads this blog!

Should I buy one of these new fangled phones that text (I've never texted!) ...or is texting old & you only twitter now? (that so makes me giggle!)...but what neat things are there that will make my life so much easier being mom, teacher & student?  It's been 14 years since I was in college....oh how scary!

Also, What is the best homeschool tip/tips you have?
Great organization tip?
Cleaning tip?

I need some mama advice.

Honey

  1. Just wanted to let you know that you have atleast one non-homeschooler who reads your blog and loves it :)
I have no tips as I'm a special education teacher in a public school. I'm only a part time homeschooler during the summers :)

Best of luck and congrats on finishing up your degree.

  6. The only advice I can give is focus on one day at a time. I was a single mom, double major, working sometimes three part-time jobs. (But I was also young and can't imagine doing it again.) The best thing I did was keep a very strict schedule for us. We ate, did homework, bathed, read bedtime book and went to bed at the same time each and every day. I only thought about the day we were living in, and tried to not think too much about the situation. I tried to live in the moment. The kids were responsible for as much as possible in their own world -like making sure everything was in their backpack, readying themselves in the morning. I wasn't homeschooling at that time. Best of luck to you!!

;) I do love reading comments. Plus, you never know if I'll send you a special something just because you left a comment. Yes, I know, but adult bribery is acceptable.
